Garmin Puts 3D Vision And Touchscreen Functionality In Portable Devices

Unveils The aera 796 And 795 Portable Touchscreen Aviation Navigators

Garmin has rolled out its new flagship portable aviation product, the aera 796, which  incorporates the popular features of the GPSMAP 696, while also adding new capabilities such as a touchscreen user interface, pilot-selectable screen orientation and 3D Vision. Tensions Peak At NJ Airport

TTF Fees Jump 900%, Runway Access Blocked By Tractor

What's it worth to have access to a municipal airport runway for tenants of your private hangar? There appears to be a considerable difference of opinion on that question between a private hangar business called the Taildragger Inn, and the landlord, the town council which administers the Hammonton Airport in New Jersey. BTS: Airlines Collected $1.4 Billion From Fees In First Quarter 2011

Baggage, Reservation Change Fees Tracked By U.S. DOT

U.S. airlines collected $1.38 billion from baggage fees and reservation change fees in the first quarter of 2011, according to the airline financial data released Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS). The airlines received $784 million from baggage fees and $598 million from reservation change fees in the first quarter.
