AeroTV Flies The D-Jet... In A Simulated Kinda Way

Diamond's aggressive new D-Jet program has been aimed primarily at the burgeoning owner-pilot market -- with the hopes that a simple and capable single-engine jet might be more palatable to the upgrading piston and light turbine pilot than the supposedly more complex Eclipse 500 and the Cessna Citation Mustang. With an altitude limit of 25,000 feet, it is Diamond's hope that the aircraft will prove to be safer if the pressurization goes tango-uniform -- and of course, being a single, they expect that in jet-terms, the D-Jet will be a bargain to operate.

FIKI!!! FAA Certifies DA42 For Known Icing

REALLY Hot news About A Cool Subject....

Diamond Aircraft tells ANN that the DA42, its turbo-diesel powered light twin, has received FAA Known Ice Certification. Aero-News: Quote of the Day (03.27.08)

“You’re causing a huge inconvenience for hundreds of people who fly into Denver. I’d like to know what (Washington) DC’s policy is, because in my opinion, you’re screwing over hundreds of people by letting in extra private aircraft.”

Source: Aspen, CO resident Richard Simpson, whose daughter was among hundreds of airline passengers stuck for hours March 15 at Aspen-Pitken Regional Airport, due to unusually high levels of aircraft traffic at the airport. Stranded passengers listened to a message, playing throughout the terminal, that placed blame for the groundings on the high volume of general aviation traffic.
