Aero-TV: Politics, Planes & Empowerment-Senator James Inhofe At AirVenture 2016

“I’m Going To Say Something That Will Offend A Lot Of People”...

While at EAA AirVenture 2016, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, sat down with Oklahoma Senator, James Inhofe, to discuss what’s going on in the politics of aviation. Fortunately, for those of you who watch this video, Senator Inhofe starts off with a great review of legislation that started with the Pilots Bill of Rights 1.

In this part of the discussion, Senator Inhofe reminds us that the recent legislation for third class medical reform is only one small part of the entire package contained in the already passed Pilot’s Bill of Rights 1 and the Pilot’s Bill of Rights 2, which has not passed in its entirety. His discussion of this issue clears up what we are sure many people have found confusing. By the way, the possibility of a Pilots Bill of Rights 3 also pops up.

The video really gets interesting when Jim asked him questions about the current political situation. Senator Inhofe starts off by saying, “I’m going to say something that will offend a lot of people, and I don’t care.” If you care anything at all about aviation, this video is a must watch because what Senator Inhofe talks about from the political perspective is critically important.

And finally, Senator Inhofe starts talking about aviation from the viewpoint of a pilot like himself who enjoys flying and, in particular, EAA AirVenture. This is a great video, and no matter what your political preferences are, you’ll be listening to a person who really cares about flying.
