Premier Turbines Opens 'Express Lane' For RR250

Fast Service For Helos Equipped With Powerplant

Dallas Airmotive announced at Heli-Expo 2007 this week that Premier Turbines, the company's Neosho, MO engine repair and overhaul division, has opened "Express Lane" service for Rolls-Royce Model 250 engines.

"Think of it as a parallel production system to our normal work flow," stated Dallas Airmotive President and CEO Hugh McElroy. "We've set up dedicated areas to handle non-standard workscopes for Model 250 engines so that operators needing immediate service will not have to compete for priority with other engines undergoing overhaul."

The Express Lane is focused on limited workscopes such as AOG, FOD, special inspections, and AD-driven campaigns where specific areas of the engine are targeted for disassembly, inspection and repair. Dedicated resources including separate work areas, tooling, machinery, equipment, work force and pre-positioned inventory have been established.

"Instead of competing for attention with engines that are in-house for a full overhaul, these engines are routed to the Express Lane for quick turnarounds," continued McElroy. "The difference in turn time can be days versus weeks."

Premier Turbines is a Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC) for the Model 250 turboshaft engine.
