Stratos Aircraft has conducted the first flight of its Stratos 716X model - registration N716X. The flight lasted 22 minutes. Flown by test pilot Sean VanHatten, the Stratos 716X is a spacious six-place jet with generous space for baggage. The all-carbon airframe, single-engine jet is designed to cruise at 400 knots. The B-29 Doc Flight Experience Tour will stop in Omaha, Nebraska, the first weekend of August at Eppley Airfield. Doc will arrive at Eppley Airfield Friday afternoon, July 31 and will be available for B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2. The tour stop is hosted by TAC Air – OMA (3737 Orville Plaza, Omaha, NE 68110). The flight schedule for the B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides will be 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., both days.

NTSB Prelim: Cessna 320

The Airplane Executed A Turn To The North And The Flight Track Data Terminated

On July 1, 2020, about 1300 central daylight time, a Cessna 320 airplane, N19AS, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Round Rock, Texas. The airline transport pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. Preliminary flight track data showed that the airplane departed from the Rusty Allen Airport (RYW), Lago Vista, Texas, about 1220, and proceeded east by Thorndale, Texas. Once near Thorndale, the airplane executed a turn to the north and the flight track data terminated.

AD 2020-12-12 Prompted By Reports Of Cracks Discovered On The Engine Pylon Inboard Lower Link Lugs

SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Yabora Industria Aeronautica S.A. Model ERJ 170 airplanes and Model ERJ 190-100 STD, -100 LR, -100 ECJ, -100 IGW, -200 STD, -200 LR, and -200 IGW airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of cracks discovered on the engine pylon inboard lower link lugs. This AD requires repetitive detailed inspections of the engine inboard and outboard engine pylon lower link lugs for cracking, and repair if necessary, as specified in an Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) AD, which is incorporated by reference.
