A small gold replica of the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM) that carried Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to their historic first moon landing has been stolen from the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio. The model is about 5 inches high and 4.5 inches square. It was one of three made by Cartier to be given to each of the astronauts on the Apollo 11 mission. DARPA Awards Contract To Rocket Crafters

Company Will Design, Develop And Test Large-Scale Hybrid Rocket Engine

Rocket Crafters, Inc. (RCI) announced today it has been awarded a $542,600 research contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Under the terms of the agreement, RCI is tasked to build and test a large-scale hybrid rocket engine using RCI's patented Direct-Digital Advanced Rocket Technology (D-DART).
