NAFI Names September 2007 Master Instructors

"The Best Of The Best"

The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) takes pride in announcing a significant aviation accomplishment on the part of these very special aviation educators. Recently, they were all accredited as Master Instructors by NAFI, their professional aviation education association.

To help put this achievement in its proper perspective, there are approximately 91,000 CFIs in the United States. Fewer than 600 of them have earned Master accreditation thus far. As a measure of the prestige conferred by this title, the last twelve FAA National Flight Instructors of the Year were Master CFIs. In addition, the FAA has approved the accreditation as an alternate means for CFIs to renew their flight instructor certificates.

Through their dedication to excellence, Master Instructors have earned their "black belts" in aviation education. They truly represent the crème de la crème of the aviation industry!

Max Trescott recently renewed his Master CFI accreditation. Max is an independent Palo Alto-area flight and ground instructor specializing in instrument and TAA training (www.sjflight.com). He is also an aviation author and serves as a FAASTeam rep for the FAA's San Jose FSDO.

Neil Singer recently renewed his Master CFI accreditation. Neil owns NJS Flight (www.njsflight.com) and specializes in TAA training at the Beverly (BVY), Lawrence (LWM) and Bedford (BED) airports. He also provides flight and ground training for students at North Shore Community College's aviation program (www.northshore.edu).

Jeff is an independent flight instructor (www.flyinglikethepros.com) providing training primarily in Santa Monica (SMO) and Van Nuys (VNY).
