After completing their final day of astronaut training at SpaceX’s headquarters in Hawthorne, California on Wednesday, September 8, the crew of Inspiration4 arrived in Florida on Thursday, September 9, landing at Space Florida’s Launch and Landing Facility at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center just before noon. Additionally, the Dragon spacecraft that the all-civilian crew will fly aboard was transported from its processing facility on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to SpaceX’s hangar at Launch Complex 39A on Kennedy Space Center where it was mated with the Falcon 9 rocket ahead of an integrated static fire test targeted for this weekend and launch next week.

Pilots at American Airlines are planning to protest. The pilots are citing fatigue that has been caused by the company’s mismanagement. The Allied Pilots Association says there will be protests by pilots with the first scheduled on October 19th at the company airports in Dallas, Miami and elsewhere. “As pilots, our job is to transport our passengers as safely and reliably as possible, while American Airlines management’s job is to support those efforts. Group Will Train and Maintain Skills For Airbus A330 Pilot Training Contract

Simaero has won the contract to train and maintain skills of pilots of Airbus A330 type aircraft, for the French Air and Space Force. The pilots are trained for the benefit of the 31st Strategic Air Transport and Refueling Squadron operating the Airbus A330 MRTT "Phénix" based in Istres. The “Phénix” is gradually entering into service with the French Air Force and space, replacing the Boeing C135-FRs. The aircraft were used during Operation Resilience against COVID-19, and are equipped with a medical evacuation capacity.

On September 4, 2021, about 1430 eastern daylight time, a Luscombe 8A airplane, N2071K, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Fort Wayne, Indiana. The pilot sustained minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the pilot, he and 3 other airplanes were conducting a cross-country return flight to Pennsylvania. After refueling, the airplanes taxied to runway 23, and the pilot completed his preflight checklist. Shortly after takeoff, about 200 to 300 ft above ground level, the engine began operating rough, which included some surging, and then it lost power.
