Dornier Seawings is introducing a new product line purely for governmental operators: the Orca, which the company says will be the world’s most advanced amphibious mission platform. The Orca is based on the Seastar, with the same features and advantages but optional internal and external mission equipment stations. The main concept of the Orca is to enhance typical maritime security missions, while merging seaborne and airborne operations. Angelo Efthimiatos was sentenced in April in U.S. District Court, Burlington, Vermont, to 15 months’ imprisonment, 12 months’ supervised release, and a $100 special assessment fee. This sentence will be served concurrently with an 18-month sentence imposed on Efthimiatos by the Southern District of Iowa for violating terms of his prior Federal supervised release. He has been in custody since April 2018 and will receive credit for time served.
