Boeing has delivered Qatar Airways' 100th airliner, a Boeing 777-200LR (longer range), at a ceremony in Everett. The Doha-based airline now operates 27 Boeing 777s of various types, including 16 777-300ERs (extended range), two 777 Freighters and nine 777-200LRs. Boeing handed over the airplane to Qatar Airways on Friday at a ceremony attended by the airline's Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker.

Fire Scout Completes 1st Navy Unmanned Flight On Biofuel

VTOL UAS Becomes The Seventh Navy Aircraft To Demonstrate Biofuel Compatibility

The Navy has successfully flown its first unmanned biofuel flight with an MQ-8B Fire Scout. The Unmanned Aircraft Systems Test Directorate at Webster Field in St. Inigoes, MD piloted the helicopter fueled with a combination of JP-5 aviation fuel and plant-based camelina. The biofuel blend reduces carbon dioxide output by 75 percent when compared to conventional aviation fuel.

A pilot from Oregon has been arrested after allegedly flying an airplane carrying three duffel bags stuffed with marijuana from Santa Monica, CA to Fitchburg, MA. He is being held on $50,000 bond. The pilot, identified as Hoang H. Nguyen, reportedly departed Santa Monica a week ago Monday, and stopped to rest at Morris County airport in Grundy, IL.

Microlight Impacts Ferris Wheel In Australia

No Injuries, But Airplane Remained Wedged In The Ride For Several Hours

A microlight aircraft operating from a grass airfield near Taree, Australia became wedged in the metalwork of a Ferris wheel set up as part of a local festival Saturday. Fortunately neither the two people on board the Cheetah S200 or two children on the ride were injured. It did, however, take several hours to get everyone safely back on the ground.
