ANN Preps For Its 'Best Ever' Coverage of AEA 2015!

Nearly A Decade Of Live-News Partnership With AEA, Covering "Where ALL The Cool Stuff Happens," Continues

The staff of the Aero-News Network is hard at work in preparation for its LIVE EVENT Coverage of the 58th Annual AEA International Convention and Trade Show, coming up next month in Dallas, TX, this April 8-11th, 2015.

This year marks a milestone for ANN, as it celebrates nearly a decade-long partnership they note to be, "one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling that we've ever undertaken" -- with the staff of the AEA. ANN became the first online, 24/7 Real-Time Aviation News and Information service nearly 20 years ago and pioneered many of the new media technologies that have so changed the aviation world. With over 250,000 stories, 7000 podcasts, and over 2000 Aero-TV programs (including nearly 500 episodes of its regularly scheduled "Airborne Unlimited" aviation news program) published to date, ANN is proud of what they’ve accomplished but is raring to show what they have in store, next, for the aviation community. This year also marks the first year of activation of the highly-anticipated and revolutionary Airborne Partnership Initiative, of which AEA was one of 10 founding partners.

“Our coverage of the annual AEA International Convention and Trade Show is a pivotal effort,” said ANN Editor-in-Chief Jim Campbell. “No other aspect of aviation has boasted the aggressive growth, progress, and innovation as we’ve seen from the avionics industry. As a result, it behooves us to make sure that the content and the processes we use to cover this industry are every bit as innovative and exciting. We have big plans to ‘raise the bar’ for our coverage of AEA 2015.”

ANN will produce at least three LIVE Aero-TV High-Definition programs, this year, in addition to dozens of other Aero-TV stories and podcasts which will air in the days and weeks after the show -- and in addition to the hundred plus stories that will appear online on the main Aero-News page. ANN’s LIVE coverage will start with the fast-paced ‘AEA New Product Introduction’ session… in which more real news is made in a few ‘rapid-fire’ hours than we see in the course of an average news week. Dozens of presenters will have but a brief period to offer exciting news about innovative new products, one after another, a few minutes at a time… all shown LIVE and in Hi-Def.

So what will be the most-exciting new product announced in 2015? The general aviation industry must patiently wait until April 8th to answer this question. But one thing is certain in advance – what happens in Dallas won't remain a secret when it comes to the international focus and attention placed on these fast-paced, high-tech announcements. That’s because the New Product Introductions session continues to see annual growth in on-site attendance by AEA members, ANN's LIVE coverage gets better and better every year, and the international coverage of the event by the aviation media is at an all-time high. Simply put, the general aviation industry looks forward with greater anticipation each spring to discover, face-to-face, what’s new for all things avionics.

Two more LIVE coverage programs (on Thursday and Friday) will offer extensive interviews, product profiles, and follow-up news stories (as well as a few surprises… hint, hint) on the Convention floor… just a few feet away from the heart of this year’s action, at the AEA/ANN on-site studio and production facility.

“The AEA Convention’s New Product Introductions always is one of the most popular sessions at this annual event, and ANN’s live coverage has helped make it the primary launching pad for companies to unveil the latest and greatest in new avionics products and services coming to market for the current year,” said Paula Derks, AEA president.

“ANN’s coverage helps the participating companies introduce these new and innovative products to the general aviation community, and it allows these companies to share their success stories in their own words. The general aviation industry looks forward with greater anticipation each spring to discover, face-to-face, what’s new for all things avionics. Convention attendees also will be able to take advantage of more than 75 hours of regulatory, technical, and business management training, and it truly is the biggest training week in the avionics industry. We look forward to a full week of networking and training taking place at the Gaylord Marriott's Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, April 8-11.”

ANN welcomes ideas and suggestions from the AEA community, for interview topics, product profiles and story ideas -- and urges companies and product developers who are planning new product releases, and other news announcements, to contact ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell at jim@aero-news.net, ASAP.

Further, as in past years, ANN offers its assistance to those companies participating in this year’s AEA New Product Introductions, via the use of our B-Roll (video) libraries and audio tracks, without fee, for use in their public presentations. Proper use and licensing of both B-Roll and audio content is important so that its use falls within proper copyright law and other applicable protections for such content (indeed, video of some previous NPI presentations have been removed from YouTube and other video and podcast portals when the content was not properly approved or licensed).

ANN will publish a full schedule of this year’s Live AEA/ANN programming over the next few days, along with links and instructions for viewing as well as the ability to host embedded LIVE Aero-TV coverage on Airborne Partner and AEA member corporate or personal websites.
