Companies Create Strategy For Safety Systems for UAVs, Air Taxis and Advance Air Mobility

In a recent “virtual” signing ceremony, US based Aviation Safety Resources, Inc. (ASR) and Germany's AUTOFLUG GmbH signed a cooperation agreement in which the companies agreed on a long-term collaboration aimed at enhancing aviation safety. Coast Guard Medevacs 2nd Hiker Near Saddle Mountain, OR

Coast Guard Chopper Rescues Injured Hiker With Broken Ankle

The Coast Guard medevaced a second hiker Saturday after a reported medical emergency near the top of Saddle Mountain. The hiker was reported to have what appeared to be a broken ankle. Coast Guard Sector Columbia River received an agency assistance request from the Seaside Police dispatch. A Hamlet Fire and Rescue team was on scene with the hiker, but deemed it unsafe to reach and recover the woman on foot and requested Coast Guard helicopter assistance. A Sector Columbia River MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew arrived on scene at 5:48 p.m. A rescue swimmer deployed to conduct a hoist and medevaced the woman at 6:38 p.m.

During The Initial Climb Out, The Airplane Stopped Gaining Altitude

On May 26, 2021, about 1430 pacific daylight time, a Boeing A75N1, N75016, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Frazier Lake Airpark (1C9), Hollister, California. The pilot and pilot-rated passenger sustained minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that, after he purchased the accident airplane, he sent the airplane to a local maintenance shop for an annual inspection. AD 2021-12-05 Prompted By A Report Of Difficulties When Jettisoning The Co-Pilot Door During Non-Scheduled Maintenance

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Helicopters Model EC155B1 helicopters. This AD was prompted by a report of difficulties when jettisoning the co-pilot door during non-scheduled maintenance. This AD requires a functional check of the pilot and co-pilot door jettisoning system and corrective actions if necessary, as specified in a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. AD 2021-11-18 Continues To Require The Actions Required By AD 2019-03-10

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2019-03-10, which applied to all Airbus SAS Model A300 series airplanes; and Model A300 B4-600, B4-600R, and F4-600R series airplanes, and Model A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes (collectively called Model A300-600 series airplanes).
