Airborne 02.14.14: Beech Looks Up, Mallard Returns!, ALPA v Norwegian

Beechcraft Corporation said in a report delivered Monday that, in the fourth quarter, the company delivered 72 commercial Beechcraft products compared to 48 Beechcraft airplanes in the same period the previous year. Throughout the entire year, the company saw a 64 percent increase in deliveries with 205 commercial Beechcraft products delivered during 2013 compared to 125 in 2012. India's Air Costa Places A Firm Order For 50 E-Jets E2s

Secures Purchase Rights To An Additional 50 Slots For The Airplanes

Embraer S.A. has signed a definitive agreement with India's Air Costa for a firm order for 50 E-Jets E2s with an additional 50 purchase rights. The acquisition is a mix of 25 E190-E2s and 25 E195-E2s and has an estimated value of USD 2.94 billion based on 2014 list prices. The purchase rights are for an additional 25 E190-E2s and 25 E195-E2s, bringing the total potential order to up to 100 aircraft.

ATR Ends The Singapore Air Show With 48 Orders

Twenty Eight Of Those Are Considered 'Firm'

After the first two days of the Singapore Air Show, the European turboprop manufacturer ATR announced that it has boosted its order book with 48 aircraft, including 28 firm orders. These contracts amounted to nearly $1.2 billion. This strong start to 2014 confirms the success seen in 2013, a year which ended with a total of 195 aircraft sold (89 firm orders and 106 options).
