today to extend the STS-133 mission by an additional day, providing
more time to unpack and outfit the Permanent Multipurpose Module

Jim Hirsch Promoted To The Top Position After 19 Years As An
Engineer
Jim Hirsch has been named President of Air Tractor, Inc. by the
company's Board of Directors. This follows the death February 20,
2011 of Air Tractor founder and president Leland Snow.
Sources close to internal discussions at EADS say that it is
unlikely the European planemaker will challenge the Air Force award
of the KC-46A contract to Boeing.
A survey conducted by JSfirm, a job board and resume database
dedicated to the aircraft industry, finds that most aviation
companies expect to be adding staff in 2011, with a surge in hiring
expected to begin in April.
Huntsville Regional, Montgomery Regional Both Receive
Awards
U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL.) said Wednesday that
the FAA has awarded a total of $1,603,719 to rehabilitate the
terminal building at the Huntsville International Airport
(KUTS), and $1,314,600 to the Montgomery Regional Airport
(KMGM) to improve airport drainage and rehabilitate the
taxiway.
Severe weather over the weekend reportedly destroyed one
airplane and damaged three others at Hannibal Regional Airport
(KHAE), and officials are still getting a handle on the extent of
the damage.
"On behalf of the crew, it's a real privilege for us to
get to fly Discovery on her final mission. We think that when we
land, Discovery will have flown in space for 365 days."
