Purchase Intended to Support Gulf Of Mexico Ops

HeliExpo 2005 is turning out to be a "big money" show. Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company made a justifiably big deal out of an agreement with SEACOR Holdings Inc. SEACOR placed an order for 20 AB139 medium-twin helicopters. The ceremony took place at Bell/Agusta's booth and is reportedly the largest order received for the AB139 to date.

This week the Iraqi Air Force at Taji, Iraq, took delivery of two freshly refurbished UH-1H Huey helicopters. The helicopters are the first of sixteen that will equip two reconstituted IAF squadrons. They have been donated by Iraq's neighbor, the Kingdom of Jordan.

Icing Downs Cirrus In California Mountains

BRS Chute May Have Been Deployed Too Late-- May Have Been Brought Down by Icing

Partial wreckage of a general aviation plane missing since Sunday evening was reported found Monday in the Sugar Bowl Ski Area of California, after its pilot reported he was taking on ice and going down. The Private Pilot was the sole person on board and reportedly received his IFR ticket a year ago. The aircraft was a new SR22, picked up at the factory just before this most recent Christmas, December 23rd.
