The FAA has issued an emergency
revocation of the airman certificate of Hayden L. Sheaffer, who was
the pilot in command of the small Cessna 150 aircraft that violated
the restricted airspace around the nation's capital on Wednesday,
May 11, 2005.
Vision Systems International will demonstrate the advanced
cueing, display and modularity of its Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing
System (JHMCS) next month at the Paris Air Show.
In addition to its normally scheduled activities, Bell
Helicopter will be participating in the 2005 Paris Air Show with
Team Osprey (Bell-Boeing V-22 Program).
In 2006, with the launch of Jules Verne, the Automated Transfer
Vehicle (ATV) will become the new European powerful automatic
re-supply spaceship able to bring an indispensable payload to the
International Space Station and its permanent crew. This first ATV
will carry a mix of supplies depending on the Station's needs and
its own payload capacity.

The 1370 Australian service members serving in Iraq have a new
commander in Navy Commodore Geoff Ledger -- a veteran helicopter
pilot who says his top priority will be saving lives and protecting
soldiers. He already has a lot of practice in that area.
Thousands of Boeing workers in Wichita were told Friday to take
their personal belongings home. A letter arriving Friday or
Saturday would tell them whether to report to work Monday or to
stay home.
Teterboro Airport announced plans last week to install systems
designed to keep aircraft from overshooting the runway. The
arrestor bed systems could be installed in as soon as two
years.
Dubai Consultancy Research and Media Centre (DCRMC) and Jane's
Information Group announced plans to host the Middle East Aviation
Conference September 18-19, 2005. The conference will discuss 'The
Impact of the A380 on the Middle East' with international speakers

The Active Cavity Radiometer Irradiance Monitor satellite,
(AcrimSat) has completed its five-year primary mission
successfully. The satellite was launched in December 1999 to study
how solar energy affects the weather and climate here on Earth.
Duncan Aviation announced plans to expand their facility in
Battle Creek this week. The expansion will start this month, adding
125,000 more square-feet of space to the already large 200,000
square-foot facility.
