Is the end to all the Wright-wrangling going on in North Texas
now in sight? It could be... as on Thursday, Texas Senator Kay
Bailey Hutchinson introduced a bill containing the agreement reached by
officials from Dallas and Fort Worth, American and Southwest
Airlines and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in June.
Representatives with Frasca International told ANN Friday the
company has been awarded a contract to provide Ft. Worth, TX-based
Bell Helicopter Textron with several helicopter flight training
devices in support of the Training Academy’s Project LoneStar
initiative.
Aero-News has learned that Boeing's entry into the Air Force
competition for a next-generation aerial tanker -- the KC-767A --
reached a significant milestone this week when it logged its 100th
test flight.
It wasn't long ago -- just last year, in fact -- when it was
Boeing that was struggling to compete with the momentum of its
rival, Airbus, at the annual international airshow in Europe.
Fuel Prices Will Force Airlines To Switch To More
Efficient Planes

commercial aircraft manfacturers. That's the word from Boeing,
which predicted this week that over the next 20 years, airlines
will rush to replace their older and less-fuel-efficient planes at
a faster rate than ever before.
Imagine a puffer fish in space... that's pretty much what it
looks like: an experimental vehicle that lifted off from a Russian
missile base Thursday. But in reality, it could be the future of
commerce in space.

Terror Tot Sparks Helo Search... One Day After Sparking House

As a token of its gratitude for customers' patience as the
company works to refurbish planes caught in a freak hailstorm that
blew through Bend, OR last month, Columbia Aircraft announced
Thursday it will offer those customers who have had to wait a
little longer than planned to fly their new 350s and 400s a special
"thank you."

2006 counting down all too rapidly... and, not quickly enough...
