Six Year Deal For Tailored Nacelle Services On A340-500 Fleet

As a result of this six-year agreement, Aircelle joins a supplier team that will furnish cost-effective, adapted services for Singapore Airlines' five A340-500s - which are operated in an all-business class configuration on long-haul flights.

"We have been supporting Singapore Airlines' A340 fleet since 2004 to the customer's complete satisfaction, and we look forward to continuing the relationship through this new Airbus services contract for the A340-500s," said Marc Laubreaux, Aircelle's Vice President Customer Support. "Airlines worldwide are increasingly looking for services that are offered on a flight-hour basis, and this new contract confirms Aircelle's strategy to provide the best and most exclusive tailored global solutions that are fully capable of responding to this industry trend."

Marc Laubreaux noted that Aircelle-built nacelles for Singapore Airlines' A340s have demonstrated very high reliability during years of service, which has been recognized by the carrier for operational excellence.
