Evergreen Helicopters Goes Shopping

Buys Two New Bells

Evergreen Helicopters, Inc. (EHI) closed on two vital aircraft purchases this week, the Agusta/Bell AB139 and the Bell B412. These acquisitions will contribute to EHI’s commitment to fulfill the most challenging missions around the globe.

This is EHI’s second AB139 and third B412 to enter the fleet, bringing the company’s total number of aircraft to more than 75.

The AB139 is a state-of-the-art 15-passenger medium twin-engine helicopter with advanced avionics and performance capabilities. The aircraft’s exceptional power to weight ratio and high-speed capability make the aircraft ideally suited for EHI’s offshore, EMS, search and rescue and VIP operations.

EHI is known throughout the world for its impeccable safety, reliability and success on high-risk operations. The B412 is a machine that matches those difficult missions, as it is able to work under the most extreme conditions and temperatures.

Evergreen Helicopters acquired the first FAA-certified AB139 in December of 2004, and has ordered several more. “The AB139 is the most modern aircraft on the market and will set new standards in the helicopter industry,” said Evergreen International Aviation Chairman and Founder Delford Smith.
