First G1000-Equipped Diamond Star Arrives In Australia

G'Day, Garmin!

Aero-News has learned the first Garmin G1000-equipped Diamond Star aircraft, a four-seat DA40-180, recently arrived in the Land Down Under -- where owner Glenn Angus was waiting eagerly to accept the keys.

"There were a number of factors influencing my decision to purchase the DA40," said Mr. Angus. "First and highest on my list was safety. Second was its ability to carry my family in comfort on long trips, then ease of use and the excellent customer support."

"I have flown the DA40 for about 15 hours now and I love the G1000 system," added Angus. "It is logical and easy to use. All the information you could possibly need, and more, is available when you need it."

Angus, who owns Angus Aircraft, will use the DA40 as his personal aircraft, as well leasing it out for flight training and rental through local operator Tristar Aviation, Melbourne Australia.
