Fuel Program Designed Exclusively For Government Use
An aviation fuel procurement program developed exclusively for
government entities has been introduced by Multi Service
Corporation. The company's Aero Card program, an aviation fuel
procurement program developed exclusively to connect government
entities with aviation fuel and non-fuel services, worldwide.
Multi Service was named the official processor of the AIR Card
by the U.S. military in 2004. The Aero Card program has been
modeled after this U.S. Government fuel procurement program to
provide other governments and militaries with a streamlined payment
and billing process. The Multi Service Aero Card will be accepted
within a network of more than 7,300 suppliers in 192
countries.
This one-card payment solution increases control over aviation fuel
and fuel-related costs by providing card restriction capabilities
specifically designed for adherence to government purchasing
policies. Guaranteed Level III data on each transaction provides
line-item detail regarding purchases and may be reviewed and
audited utilizing specialized management reports.
"Multi Service has proven that a focused fuel procurement program
with one method of payment can save millions of dollars in
government spend annually," said Jim Knickerbocker, director of
government and marine programs for the company. "Multi Service Aero
Card will provide other government entities this opportunity by
increasing transparency and enhancing taxpayer
stewardship."
The Multi Service Aero Card is issued to cardholders by Multi
Service Corporation. As the card issuer, Multi Service Corporation
will process transactions, provide reimbursement to fuel suppliers
and bill government entities directly. Aviation fuel suppliers on
the Multi Service network are eligible to accept the Multi Service
Aero Card from any participating government cardholder according to
the supplier's existing contract with Multi Service
Corporation.
The AIR Card program will continue to be the exclusive aviation
fuel card program sponsored by the Defense Logistics Agency -
Energy, an agency of the U.S. Government Department of Defense.
