EAA is under a temporary alternate camping and aircraft parking plan after the thunderstorms of July 19-20 brought five inches of rain within 24 hours and left many areas of the AirVenture grounds saturated. EAA is continually assessing conditions and will continue to provide the best possible and safest solutions as the situation improves.

Boeing To Provide $50 Million For Family Relief Related To Recent Accidents

Total Commitment To The Effort Is $100 Million For Families Of Those Aboard Lion Air Flight 610 And Ethiopian Flight 302

Boeing has dedicated $50 million of a previously announced $100 million fund to provide near-term financial assistance to families of the victims of the Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Flight 302 accidents. Boeing also announced that it has retained Kenneth Feinberg and Camille Biros, renowned experts in establishing and overseeing victims' compensation funds, to design and administer the fund.

Provides Immediate Pay Raises And Increases Incentives

PSA Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today voted to ratify a new contract. The four-year agreement provides improvements for over 1,300 PSA Flight Attendants. In addition to immediate pay raises, the new contract includes increased vacation, improved work rules and increased scheduling flexibility.

NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-3 (OCO-3), the agency's newest carbon dioxide-measuring mission to launch into space, has seen the light. From its perch on the International Space Station, OCO-3 captured its first glimpses of sunlight reflected by Earth's surface on June 25, 2019. Just weeks later, the OCO-3 team was able to make its first determinations of carbon dioxide and solar-induced fluorescence - the "glow" that plants emit from photosynthesis, a process that includes the capture of carbon from the atmosphere.
