NTSB Issues 25 Recommendations Following Colgan Air 3407 Hearing

FAA Says It Will Determine "What Actions Are Needed"

The NTSB has issued 25 recommendations to the FAA regarding strategies to prevent flight crew monitoring failures, pilot professionalism, fatigue, remedial training, pilot records, stall training, and airspeed selection procedures.

While They Knew What To Do, They "Did Not Do It"

Colgan Air says that the pilots of Flight 3407 had been through thorough initial and recurrent training prior to the accident which claimed 50 lives last February, but for unknown reasons, they "did not use their training in dealing with the situation they faced."
