If you were wondering why ANN's Jim Campbell
was so hard to get a hold of last Monday, this is the reason -- he
was in Olathe, KS, getting an early look at Garmin's
aggressively engineered new glass panel flightdeck for turbine
aircraft... the G3000 (and yes, having a heckuva time!). Garmin's
G3000 is the first touchscreen-controlled integrated flightdeck for
light turbine aircraft.
As Garmin's G1000 FlightDeck took hold amongst the GA world, a popular topic of conjecture surrounded the question of whether or not this platform would be expanded to serve the Turbine market... or whether Garmin would come up with something completely different. We now have our answer.
Cessna comes to the 62nd NBAA Meeting and Convention with
optimism that the business aviation market is thawing. "I'm far

First MxPro Training Class To Be Held At FlightSafety’s

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation and FlightSafety International
will launch a full schedule of technical training courses at
FlightSafety’s new 44,000 square foot Maintenance Training
Center beginning November 9.
Clay Lacy Aviation (CLA) has completed a new 40,000 square-foot
hangar facility with adjoining office space at its Boeing Field
(BFI) facility in Seattle. Designed to house a combination of
managed and tenant aircraft, the expansion includes 7,500 square
feet of office space and 7,500 square feet of shop area.
J.A. Air Center of Chicago will be attending the upcoming 62nd
annual NBAA Convention in Orlando, Florida, and during the show,
they plan to give away a Garmin GPSMAP 696 portable MFD
system. The 696 is an all-in-one navigator designed
exclusively for aviation.
Hopes To Foster Interaction With Partners And Customers
Smyrna, Tennessee-based Corporate Flight Management announced
the launch of "planeconversations.com," the firm's new social media
blog site. "We have a great website," said CFM CEO Allen

Air Partners, which is a private aviation company providing
aircraft charter and management services to travellers across
Canada, announced Friday that it has opened opportunities for
fractional ownership, effective immediately. The company has also
added five aircraft to its fleet.
Elbit Systems of America tells ANN that their 500th Enhanced
Vision System (EVS) is now operating within the Gulfstream family
of aircraft. Kollsman and Gulfstream began their mutual commitment
to this industry leading technology eight years ago and today there
are 464 Gulfstream aircraft flying with EVS I and 36 Gulfstream
