Three Injured In NAS Fort Worth, JRB Shootings

Gunman Captured, Base Open After Brief Lockdown

An enlisted sailor shot two service members before turning the gun on himself Thursday afternoon at Naval Air Station Ft Worth, Joint Reserve Base in Texas. All three were taken to area hospitals, with the suspect in critical condition. According to Navy Capt. John McCormick, the sailor walked into the base operations center around 12:30 pm and shot two others, a Navy officer and an enlisted man. Both men reportedly have non-life-threatening injuries, McCormick said.

IS&S Deal With ABX Air Brings Flat-Panel Screens To B757 & B767 Cockpits

Cargo and charter flight operation ABX Air, Inc. and Innovative Solutions and Support (IS&S) told Aero-News this week that the two companies have successfully obtained a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the FAA for installation of glass panel technology in the cockpits of Boeing 767s. Source: Attorney John Murray, defending London Aviation and London Aircraft Services owner John London in a wrongful death lawsuit brought against him by family members of two men who died when their Piper Malibu lost power and crashed shortly after take-off in 2002. Murray is defending London from charges that a mechanic's failure to properly secure a fuel line after cylinder replacement work was performed on the Piper's engine, which led to a fuel leak and fire that caused the power loss and contributed to the accident.
