NBAA Members Helped Reunite Rescued Soldier And Her Family

We doubt that the corporate aviation world will get the credit they are due for this, but thanks to some patriotic NBAA members, Jessica Lynch's family is with her now as she recuperates.

Two NBAA Member Companies -- H.J. Heinz Company of Pittsburgh and Houston-based Universal Weather & Aviation -- teamed up this past weekend to reunite the recently rescued prisoner of war with her family.

Jessica Lynch, the US Army soldier who was wounded and taken prisoner by Iraqi forces and then rescued in a dramatic special-forces mission last week, had been airlifted to a military hospital in Germany to receive medical treatment for multiple injuries.

The Heinz Gulfstream IV flew Lynch's parents, two siblings and a cousin to Germany on Saturday so they could see her, and Universal Weather prepared the flight plan and provided weather data and handling services for the trip free of charge.
