The folks at PanAm
Int'l Flight Academy note that, "For many, a career in aviation
sounds exciting, intriguing and mysterious. While it is all of
those things and more, the decision to pursue a career in the
industry is also expensive and time-consuming. The Academy has
found that a student who has thoroughly explored their career
options before choosing a flight school is more successful in their
career."
In an effort to help perspective students in their search for
information or to introduce the idea of turning their hobby into a
career, Pan Am International Flight Academy's Career Pilot
Development division is hosting a series of free seminars that will
explore subjects such as:
- The state of the
airline industry
- A pilot's career path (opportunities for growth)
- How to become a pilot
- History of Pan Am International Flight Academy
- Life as an airline pilot
- Description of PAIFA's CPD program and admissions
procedures
Representatives at the seminars will include school counselors,
administrators, placement manager and a current airline pilot who
has graduated from the Academy's CPD program (subject to schedules
and availability). The 2005 seminar schedule is as follows:

Additional seminars will be held throughout the year in Chicago
(May), New York (June), Oshkosh (July), Detroit (August), Denver
(September) and Tampa (November). Prize drawings will be held at
each seminar. Space is limited and registration is required.
