The X-37B spaceplane, a reusable, multi-purpose, system that operates without an onboard crew, won the prestigious Robert J. Featuring The B-29 Known As 'Doc' And The B-17 Known As 'Texas Raiders'

Two of the most iconic aircraft of World War II will join together Labor Day Weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Friday, Sept. 4 through Monday, Sept. 7. The event hosted by the Arkansas Air & Military Museum at Drake Field will feature the B-29 Superfortress known as Doc, along with the B-17 Flying Fortress known as Texas Raiders. Eleven years after the launch of the first H-II Transfer cargo vehicle (HTV) to the International Space Station, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s (JAXA’s) HTV-9 will depart the orbital laboratory Tuesday, Aug. 18. Designed To Enable Collision Avoidance Between Drones And Manned Aircraft

PrecisionHawk has been awarded two patents for technologies it has developed for UTM. The patents, titled ‘Automated Unmanned Air Traffic Control System,’ are designed to enable collision avoidance between drones and manned aircraft. This is achieved by transmitting real-time flight data from drones to a UTM server prior to and while in-flight. In order to safely fly drones long distances, operators must be able to avoid collisions with other drones and manned aircraft. The first patent is for technology that allows drones to send real-time telemetry to flight servers to avoid collisions while in the air.

The Airplane Was Veering To The Left, Which Did Not Correct With Right Rudder Input

On August 1, 2020, about 0750 eastern daylight time, a Piper PA-32RT-300T, N3025L, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Honesdale, Pennsylvania. The pilot and four passengers were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. On the day of the accident, the pilot and the passengers were planning to fly from Cherry Ridge Airport (N30), Honesdale, Pennsylvania, to Ocean City Municipal Airport (OXB), Ocean City, Maryland.

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH Model MBB-BK 117 D-2 helicopters. This AD was prompted by the discovery that certain longitudinal trim actuators, lateral trim actuators, and yaw trim actuators, which are certified for installation on MBB-BK 117 C-2 helicopters, were erroneously listed as eligible for installation on MBB-BK 117 D-2 helicopters. This AD requires removing the affected parts from service and prohibits installing the affected parts on MBB-BK 117 D-2 helicopters.
