In the wee hours of the start of the weekend a new version of the FAA Reauthorization bill was published... and the news is mixed. The 1200 page document was released September 22nd at 0040ET... to initially mixed reviews. Some initial notes show that this five year bill does not include the draconian Privatization effort that has been aggressively fought by nearly everyone in aviation and the onerous ATC fees levied on EAA and other venues have been dropped. Legislation Also Includes Reauthorization And Reforms For TSA And NTSB

House and Senate Committee leaders late last week announced that they have reached a bipartisan final agreement on legislation that provides long-term stability and critical reforms to the FAA and transforms federal disaster programs to better prepare communities for disaster.  The agreement also includes a reauthorizations and reforms of the TSA and the NTSB.
