With Maiden Flight Complete, Flight-Test Program Now Underway

Another milestone has been reached in the A350 program as the first A350-1000 took off Thanksgiving morning for its maiden flight at Blagnac in Toulouse, France at 10.42 hrs local time. The A350-1000 is Airbus’ largest and most powerful twin-engined airliner ever. Equipped with specially developed Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 turbofans, the A350-1000’s first flight is taking place over south-western France.

Moves John Martin To Chairman Of The Board

The board of directors of Aloft AeroArchitects has appointed Robert ‘Bob’ Sundin as President and Chief Executive Officer, a move which will become effective November 28, 2016. Sundin was also named to the Board of Directors of Aloft. John Martin, the current President/CEO, will move to the role of Chairman of the Aloft Board.
