AIG Announces Agreement To Sell International Lease Finance Corporation

AerCap Holdings N.V. To Pay $5.4 Billion For The Company

American International Group has entered into an agreement under which AIG will sell its 100 percent interest in International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a non-core asset, to AerCap Holdings N.V. Total consideration for the transaction, consisting of $3.0 billion of cash and 97,560,976 newly issued AerCap common shares, has a value of approximately $5.4 billion based on AerCap’s closing price per share of $24.93 on December 13, 2013.

Now Compatible With Century IIB, III And IV Autopilots

The FAA and EASA have approved Aspen's EA100 autopilot adapter as capable of emulating the Century 52D66, 52D67, 52D166, and 52D167 attitude indicators. The EA100 is now compatible with all attitude-based Century IIB, III, and IV autopilots as well as the Piper Altimatic-branded autopilots.  This new certification is in addition to the Century 21, 31, 41, 2000 and 4000 certification announced in October 2013.

The new 105,000-square-foot facility enhances Pratt & Whitney's capacity to service engines that power F-16 and F-15 fighter aircraft used by the U.S. Air Force and international military customers. Pratt & Whitney, the Development Authority of Columbus and Western Devcon Inc. worked together to develop, design and build the new facility.

The FAA has awarded Part 33 certification to GE Honda Aero Engine's HF120 turbofan engine, certifying its airworthiness and setting the stage for the production of this all-new engine. Airline industry trade organization Airlines for America (A4A) has released its 2013-2014 Winter Holiday Air Travel Forecast, projecting 44.3 million customers will fly on U.S. airlines during the 21-day period from Monday, Dec. 16 through Sunday, Jan. 5, an increase of approximately 2 percent or 41,000 daily travelers. Last year, 43.4 million customers were estimated to have traveled by air.
