Company May Hire, Train Designated Airworthiness Reps
Representatives with Spectrum Aeronautical, LLC, tell ANN it has
achieved "Organizational Designated Airworthiness Representative"
(ODAR) status with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Applicability: Model SA 365 N, SA 365 N1, AS
365 N2, AS 365 N3, SA 365 C, SA 365 C1, SA 365 C2, and SA 365 C3
helicopters, all serial numbers, if a main rotor head (MRH) fitted
with frequency adapters and frequency adapter bushes is installed,
as referenced below.
Applicability: Model C-212-DF and C-212-EE
aircraft, serial numbers 444 through 477, except if EADS-CASA AOL
212-010 Revision 1 or Revision 2 has been previously accomplished
on both upper and lower fittings in both outer and centre wings on
both left and right hand sides of the aircraft.
Applicability: AS 332 C, AS 332 C1, AS 332 L
and AS 332 L1 helicopters, all serial numbers, if averaging more
than 4 torque variation cycles per flight hour.
VP-Safety, Ops Director At Ameriflight Will Advise On Technical
Matters
The Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association (RACCA) board of
directors has named John W. Hazlet, Jr., vice president-safety and
standards and director of operations for Burbank, CA-based cargo
carrier Ameriflight, as RACCA's Vice President, Technical
Affairs.
ESA astronaut Christer Fuglesang is about to become the first
Swedish and the first Nordic astronaut in space. On the night of
December 7, he will board NASA's Shuttle Discovery as a mission
specialist aboard STS-116.

Aero-News learned Friday Boeing recently delivered a completed
747-400 Boeing Converted Freighter to Guggenheim Aviation Partners.
Guggenheim Aviation Partners leased the freighter to Martinair
Cargo, which is operating the airplane on routes to and from the
Middle East, the Far East and Australia.
A blast of winter weather may have contributed to an incident

ANN REALTIME UPDATE 12.01.06 1815 EST: It's
officially official! Late Friday afternoon, the board at EADS gave
the go-ahead for the development and production of the Airbus
A350XWB, a new widebody airliner to compete against the Boeing 787

Lawmakers Want To Keep Approach Facility There Open
Colorado congressmen are opposing an FAA plan to close Pueblo's
approach control facility and hand off control of air traffic
to facilities in Colorado Springs or Denver.
