Cessna Workers: 'YES!'

New Contract Wins Big In Wichita

It's a done deal. Over the weekend, members of Local Lodge 774 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) enthusiastically approved a new collective bargaining agreement with Cessna Aircraft Company.

The new 36-month contract takes on Monday and runs through September 16, 2007.  Cessna currently employs approximately 10,000 employees, of these, the collective bargaining agreement represents 4,300 employees. Jack J. Pelton, Cessna's President and CEO said, "I am very pleased with the contract resulting from this negotiation. We have an agreement that provides for very competitive wages and benefits. It also supports our relationship with the I.A.M. that is dedicated to improving quality, productivity and developing an environment of participation, all aimed at maintaining our leadership position in the General Aviation industry."
