KaiserAir FAA Certified To Operate Large Jets As A Part 121 Commercial Airline

Authority Granted Under FAR Part 121 For Full Flight Operations And Management

The FAA has certified aviation management company KaiserAir, Inc. to provide full flight operations and management services for a Boeing 737-700 with all-premier passenger service – 60-seat configuration. The company said in a news release Thursday that the plane will be used for private carriage twice weekly between Oakland International Airport’s North Field and Kona, Hawaii beginning in March 2011.

Upon notice of certification from the FAA, Ronald J. Guerra, President of KaiserAir, thanked his certification team for two years of dedicated service. “I am very proud of the team and the support of everyone at KaiserAir. KaiserAir is the first air carrier to successfully complete 121 Certification and ETOPS simultaneously and become a member of a small special group of air carriers certified to operate aircraft under FAR Parts 91, 121, and 135. As only the second Oakland home-based air carrier in Oakland’s airport history, KaiserAir looks forward to providing additional air carrier services to the market.”

KaiserAir is a privately owned company with home base facilities at Oakland North Field and Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport in California. Its primary business is providing full service aviation management services to owners of business jet aircraft. Aircraft services include: managing and operating corporate and privately owned aircraft; airframe engine, avionics and accessory support maintenance; common carriage charter; FBO and line services; fuel distribution of Chevron and AirBP products.

In 2008, KaiserAir became the twelfth company to receive the NBAA 60 Years of Safe Flying Award.
