Avionics Training Systems For 407GX And 412EPI Delivered

To Be Used At Bell Helicopter Training Academy Beginning Next Year

Textron company TRU Simulation + Training Inc. will provide Bell Helicopter’s Training Academy with avionics bench training systems for the Bell 407GX and Bell 412EPI helicopters. These two training systems are expected to be delivered to Bell Helicopter, also a Textron company, in the summer of 2017.

These modern maintenance training devices will ensure that Bell Helicopter training remains the premier training solution for its customers. By providing students a hands-on training experience with complex avionics systems, training will extend beyond general theory and allow greater knowledge retention without additional hours on operational aircraft.

The Bell 407GX avionics training system will ensure technicians understand how a Garmin G1000H system operates, what messages the equipment provides and will allow students to practice state-of-the-art maintenance techniques with Line Replaceable Units (LRU). The Bell 412EPI avionics training system will provide technicians experience with Rogerson Kratos system avionics operation and maintenance practices.

“This order represents the first of what we expect to be many maintenance training devices TRU will build for Bell Helicopter and potentially their worldwide customer base,” stated John Hayward, Senior Vice President and General Manager of TRU’s Military and Business Simulation division.

The Bell Helicopter Training Academy is committed to providing industry leading training programs that create better, safer flight operations. Training has been an integral part of Bell Helicopter’s customer support and services program for more than 65 years. The company has trained more than 140,000 customers from every market segment in more than 135 countries throughout the world.
