Pilots Contribute to 'It Gets Better'

Campaign Against Bullying And Gay Teen Suicides

Many celebrities, organizations, politicians from secretary Clinton to VP Biden and even President Obama have contributed a video message to the "Trevor project" to help combat bullying and to prevent gay teen suicides and give young people hope.

The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) representing airline, commercial and private pilots from all over the world, have added their response to the popular campaign. A short video with moving stories from several pilots tells teens that it gets better and that the aviation industry is an accepting place for LGBT people.

NGPA has also established an education fund that provides scholarships for young aviators to assist with the high costs of professional pilot training. Over the last thirteen years, the NGPA EF has given out scholarships totaling more than $120,000.
