When it comes to the FAA’s proposed re-write of part 145 repair station rules, the avionics industry certainly has a lot of skin in the game.

At the NBAA conference Wednesday, AEA vice president for government and industry affairs, talked with ANN’s Jim Campbell about the industry’s position on the proposed new rules. Following the success of Nextant's 400XT re-manufacturing program, company CEO Ken Ricci said at the NBAA convention in Orlando that the company has its eyes on the next airplane to get the full makeover ... but he is unable to say just yet what airplane it will be. EAA's Jack Pelton, who was recently named chairman of the board, and who has taken over the duties of CEO on an acting basis… told ANN at the NBAA convention that there will be some short-term and long-term changes coming for the organization.
