The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a Cirrus S22T airplane that departed Wednesday from Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City and is believed to have gone down in the Gulf of Mexico. ABC News reports that the pilot became unresponsive during the flight, and NORAD launched fighter aircraft from bases in Texas and Lousiana to make contact with the airplane which was scheduled to land in Texas, according to a filed flight plan.

Citing personal health issues, IAC President Mike Heuer has announced he plans to step down from the IAC presidency no later than March 19th, 2017. Mike has served as IAC President since the summer of 2014 and was also the club's leader from 1981 to 1990. Here we go again... Two NORAD F-16s intercepted a GA airplane that had violated a TFR in south Florida near President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home while he was visiting over the holidays. A NORAD spokesman said the jets, stationed at Homestead Air Reserve Base, were already patrolling the area when they were notified of the TFR violation.
