Boeing, Ryanair Announce Order For Three Additional NG 737-800s

Irish Low-Cost Carrier Now Has 274 737s On Order

Ryanair has placed an order for three Next-Generation 737-800s. The order, previously unidentified on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website, is valued at $280 million at current list prices. With this order the Irish low-cost carrier now has unfilled orders for 174 Next-Generation 737-800s and 100 737 MAX 200s.

First AW139 To Reach 10,000 Flight Hours

CHC Helicopter’s AW139 fleet leader has set a major operational milestone by reaching 10,000 flight hours. This significant milestone was achieved by the aircraft in less than nine years, making it the global fleet leading AW139.  The helicopter is operating from CHC’s Den Helder base in The Netherlands, performing its missions in the North Sea with almost 29,000 landings to date.

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Red Tail Squadron, America’s tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen, is teaming up with the CAF Florida Wing to bring its RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit mobile theater and WWII P-51C Mustang aircraft to DeLand March 17 - 22. The exhibit is a unique free opportunity for all ages to experience the inspiring story of the Tuskegee Airmen – America’s first black military pilots and their support personnel. Three days will be dedicated for a special showing at a local school, with an open house scheduled Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22 for the general public at the CAF Florida Wing hangar.

"Vibrations from launch can significantly impact the vehicle and its systems, which is why it's important to understand and mitigate those issues before we get to the pad. The SLS vibration levels on the actuators are significantly higher than the levels the shuttle experienced. We determined in the design process that the effects of the higher vibrations can be alleviated by adding stiffer springs to the actuator's mechanical feedback."
