Extensive Support by Both Sides of The Aisle Gets President To Sign Bill

Call it a victory... though it may wind up being a small one. Legislation designed to reduce the cost and complexity of doing business in the general aviation world is now law... but it will take some time to determine if the mammoth American bureaucracies involved in this business manage to screw that up, too. The legislation-which was introduced in May in the U.S. House of Representatives by Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-KS), Sam Graves (R-MO), Dan Lipinski (D-IL), Rick Nolan (D-MN), and Todd Rokita (R-IN), and in the U.S. Senate by Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)-requires the FAA to implement the recommendations of the FAA's Part 23 Reorganization Aviation Rulemaking Committe

Aircraft Required To Serve Brazilian Market To Nearly Triple By 2032

Region’s Largest Market Represents 35 Percent Of Latin America’s Air Traffic

According to the latest Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF) the Brazilian air travel market will need 1,324 aircraft by 2032 to address the country’s rising international and domestic air travel requirements. The 896 single-aisle, 353 twin-aisle and 75 very large aircraft (VLA) are forecast to help meet the rising demand from domestic and foreign carriers in Brazil almost tripling the in-service fleet from today’s 480 to more than 1320 aircraft by 2032.

Curiosity Resumes Science After Analysis Of Voltage Issue

Full Operations Resumed Saturday

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity resumed full science operations on Saturday, Nov. 23. Activities over the weekend included use of Curiosity’s robotic arm to deliver portions of powdered rock to a laboratory inside the rover. The powder has been stored in the arm since the rover collected it by drilling into the target rock "Cumberland" six months ago. Several portions of the powder have already been analyzed.
