American Legend To Hold Cub Homecoming

Celebrates 15 Months Since LSA Cert

If you own a Cub -- either an authentic Piper, or one of the many faithful reproductions gracing the market today -- you already know that life's a party. Recognizing this, American Legend Aircraft Company announced Monday it will hold a homecoming celebration for owners and pilots of its Legend Cub light sport aircraft.

The event will be held from 1:00 PM on Friday through 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 20-21, 2006. The 21st marks precisely 15 months since American Legend Aircraft Company received light-sport aircraft certification for its Legend Cub -- July 21, 2005.

More than 100 American Legend customers and prospective owners are expected to meet at the company's headquarters in Sulphur Springs, TX to celebrate the Legend Cub.

So, what can one expect to find at the first Legend Cub homecoming? Company representatives say, lots of great memories, both new and recounted. Demonstration and training flights. Aircraft inspections and the availability of optional equipment. Factory tours and airport camaraderie. The event schedule is still evolving. However, all participants will be able to share in all activities.

All current American Legend customers and prospective Legend Cub owners are invited, and interested parties are asked to contact the company (information is available at the FMI link below.)

"This is a customer event. We feel we owe our success to our customers and want to take this opportunity to share among them the significant progress that we have made. We want our customers to be able to meet and greet each other, and our company employees," said Legend Aircraft Company president Tim Elliott. "This opportunity will be filled with memorable stories, new aspirations and the same kind of nostalgia that has made the Cub so famous and familiar."

"We are also encouraging prospective customers to attend the homecoming, allowing them the opportunity to speak to current owners about their experience with the Legend Cub," Elliott added.

American Legend Aircraft Company manufactures recreational aircraft that meet light-sport aircraft certification requirements. The American Legend Cub is two-place aircraft that pays homage to the legendary Piper Cub, but offers many modern accoutrements and a variety of options -- including choice of interior, avionics, engine, wheels, floats, lighting, propeller, and more.
