Plans Set For Aircraft To Start Operations Between Mexico City And New York In The Last Week Of October
Aeromexico has taken delivery of its second Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which will commence commercial operations during the last week in October on the Mexico City-New York-Mexico City route. Starting in November, the new aircraft will also begin flights to Tokyo and Paris. The arrival of the third plane is scheduled for November, at which point Aeromexico will have three Boeing 787 Dreamliners in its fleet by the end of the year.
The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with a configuration of 32 seats in First Class and 211 in Economy, offers comforts appreciated by all customers who have had the opportunity to fly in recent weeks on domestic as well as international routes.
Grupo Aeromexico, S.A.B. de C.V., is a parent company whose subsidiaries are engaged in commercial aviation in Mexico as well as the promotion of frequent flyer programs. Aeromexico has more than 600 flights daily from its hub at Terminal 2, Mexico City International Airport. Its network of destinations includes more than 80 cities on three continents: 46 in Mexico, 18 in the U.S., 11 in Latin America, three in Europe, two in Asia and one in Canada.
The Group's current fleet has more than 115 Boeing 787, 777, 767, and 737 aircraft, as well as the latest generation Embraer 190, 175, 170 and 145 planes. In 2012 it announced the largest investment plan in the history of Mexican aviation: the purchase of 100 Boeing planes, including 90 B737 MAX aircraft, and 10 B787-9 Dreamliners.
