Dynon Introduces D100 Series

Glass Panel Avionics

Dynon Avionics has introduced its new D100 series avionics system. This new glass panel system integrates EFIS and EMS electronics with a larger 7" diagonal screen that is sunlight readable and has 854 x 480 pixel resolution -- offering 3x the readability of its competition, according to the company.

The EFIS-D100 continues to feature the split-screen formatting also available in the company's D10 series, which allows the user to view additional flight data along with primary flight information -- altitude, airspeed, vertical speed, compass, turn coordinator, rate-of-turn, clock/timer, g-meter, and voltage. Operation will be identical to the D10.

Retail price is $2395, including remote compass, mounting tray, and a USB-serial converter. Options include battery backup, wiring harness, OAT probe and an encoder converter. Dynon began accepting orders for the D100 on July 18th.

Later this year, Dynon also plans to introduce a companion engine monitoring system, the EMS-D100. Also featuring 7" split screen capability, the new system will include rapid hotkey page switching, fuel computer, audio/visual alarms, and user-defined limits.  Pricing is $2195, plus probes.

Following the introduction, Dynon will offer a D100 Sport Pack, giving the customer a $440 discount with the purchase of any combination of engine probe, EFIS, and EMS packages.

To better accommodate the needs of homebuilders, Dynon will offer a $200 discount to customers who stagger their orders of the D100 system as they progress in the construction of their airplanes. The company display is in Hangar D, Booth 4037
