AOPA's Gary Crump Talks Aero-Medical Issues
Clinical depression
strikes about one in every ten Americans sometime during their
lives. Thanks to new medical technology... it's very treatable...
with drugs like Prozac... Effexor and the like. Problem is...
pilots who take those drugs are... with virtually no exceptions...
barred from flying. They lose their medical certifications.
Gary Crump heads up the AOPA's Medical Certification program. He
says... perhaps now is the time for change.
