Bombardier and Rolls Royce recently signed an engine service agreement for their Global Express series of business jets. This agreement will authorize Bombardier Aircraft Service Centers in Dallas, Tucson, Hartford and Fort Lauderdale to perform maintenance on BR710 engines installed in the Bombardier Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft.

Orders Valued At More Than $34 Million

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) announced Wednesday during the 2012 NBAA Convention in Orlando, FL, that it has signed orders for nine new Beechcraft products with a total value of more than $34 million. The orders, which include one King Air 350i, two King Air 250s, two King Air C90GTxs and four Baron G58s, were placed by four Beechcraft distributors throughout South and Central America.

GE Honda Aero Engines Nears Completion Of HF120 Engine Testing

Certification Expected Mid 2013

GE Honda Aero Engines expects to complete FAA certification testing on its HF120 engine by the end of 2012. The HF120 engine, which is the successor of the HF118, will feature a 5,000 hour overhaul schedule, dual channel FADEC, and a counter-rotating turbine design which will be a first in the civilian marketplace.

Snecma Begins Silvercrest Engine Tests

On Tuesday, Snecma announced that it has started ground development tests of the new Silvercrest business jet engine. For testing purposes, the Silvercrest is equipped with a number of sensors recording over 900 different parameters and monitoring both mechanical and thermodynamic performance.
