Aircraft Stability Tested During 44 Minute First Flight
The first flight of the 2nd prototype of the fifth generation
Sukhoi aviation complex (PAK FA) took place in Komsomolsk - on -
Amur Thursday. The plane was flown by Russian Federation test pilot
Sergey Bogdan.

continue to shore up reputations, seek out quantity over quality,
and treat us like mushrooms. The (most recent) example comes from

Boeing Plans Participation In Those Discussions At Conference
Next Week
Executives from Boeing will speak at conference sessions that
address sustainable aviation bio-fuels and explore developments in
the cargo sector during Asian Aerospace 2011 and discuss their
implications for commercial aviation. Asian Aerospace takes place
March 8-10, at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. The company also
will conduct a media briefing to share the company’s market
outlook for the next 20 years.

Sends C-17A Globemaster III Letter of Request To The U.S.
Australia is investigating the purchase of an additional C-17A
Globemaster III heavy lift aircraft Minister for Defence Stephen
Smith said Monday. The government has sent a Letter of Request to
the United States regarding the potential purchase of an additional
C-17A aircraft through the United States Foreign Military Sales
program, formally seeking cost and availability information.

A Few Hours In The Air Prove The R66 Has The
Right Stuff
I've been waiting for this one for quite a while and I'm
delighted to report that the result was worth the wait. The new R66
Turbine Five seat helicopter is a helluva machine and a joy to fly
-- and in a number of flight regimes. Some three years and
eight months after Robinson publicly announced plans to develop the
beast, the FAA presented Frank Robinson with Type Certificate No.
R00015LA, just a few weeks back. The FAA also presented Robinson
with an amended Production Certificate that now includes the R66,
allowing Robinson to begin deliveries right away.
The rotorcraft-focused private equity investor, Hawke Capital
Partners, announced Sunday that it reached agreement to acquire
substantially all of the assets of NorthEast Aviation Technologies,
Inc.
Dassault Falcon 900LX First To Fly Approaches Using EGNOS
The first approaches using Europe's new EGNOS (European
Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) satellite navigation

A new Tension-Torsion (TT) strap for Bell 206 Jet Ranger and
206L Long Ranger helicopters, civilian and military has been
developed by Airwolf Aerospace. Airwolf manufactures the straps
under an FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA).
Solar Minimum Can Effect Earth's Atmosphere, Space Debris
NASA-sponsored research has resulted in the first computer model
that could explain the recent period of decreased solar activity
during the sun's 11-year cycle.

This EMS Heli page was started around 13 years ago with 'just a
couple of helicopter photos.' As their audience grew, they started
receiving photos of EMS Helicopters from all over the world. They
enjoyed the photos so much that they 'decided to share them with
everybody.' The site's goal is to have every EMS Helicopter in the
US displayed. Based on what we see so far, they seem to be off to a
good start... check this site out...
