Milestone Reached Just Three Months After Its Introduction

The newest addition to Pipistrel’s broad product line-up has become a global success, with the delivery of the 10th ALPHA trainer just three months after it was introduced to the GA community.

“We had received many orders for the ALPHA Trainer even before the prototype flew for the first time. With the shipments now in full swing, it’s great to see the demand for this model ever increasing," said Pipistrel CEO Ivo Boscarol. "The first few ALPHA Trainers have been delivered to the United States of America, Peru, New Zealand, France and Australia, with the tenth aircraft now on its way to the happy customer in Russia. The Pipistrel ALPHA Trainer is an affordable two-seat composite aircraft, powered by the Rotax 912 80 HP engine, burning only 2.5 gallons per hour of fuel on a typical flight. The most popular LSA variant is produced in Italy, but also available is the Microlight/Ultralight model which is made in Slovenia. ALPHA Trainer ships is one “full-equipment” configuration, which includes Radio, Transponder, GPS, Ballistic Parachute Rescue System, specially developed Analog/Digital instruments, extra strong landing gear, external lights and more.
