Sikorsky Delivers 100th MH-60S To US Navy

Seahawks Have Spent Over 150,000 Hours In The Air Since 2001

Sikorsky Aircraft has delivered the 100th MH-60S Seahawk helicopter to the US Navy.

"This delivery marks another key milestone in the US Navy's plan to procure more than 250 MH-60S aircraft," said Sikorsky President Jeffrey Pino. "Sikorsky is proud to continue to deliver this proven aircraft -- a true workhorse -- to the US Navy."

Since initial fleet deliveries in 2001, the MH-60S has accrued more than 150,000 flight hours with deployments around the world including service in Iraq.

The MH-60S is a multi-mission platform used by the US Navy for logistics, troop transport, organic airborne mine countermeasures, and Armed Helicopter missions (as demonstrated in the above photo.) It is one of the key elements in the US Navy Helicopter Master Plan to go from seven different platforms to two, the Sikorsky MH-60S and MH-60R Seahawk helicopters.
