Scotland Yard explained last weekend's trouble at
London's Heathrow airport: "The boy, an Australian national, was
arrested and taken to West Drayton police station. He was later
released after being given a caution."
Reports said he had been trying to smuggle a couple firecrackers
in each of his shoes, to hide them from his mother, who, he
assumed, would not have approved his bringing them on their British
After a couple hours' questioning by Scotland Yard, the boy was
cleared of terrorist/criminal intent, and returned to his mother.
