FAA Grants STC For 3-Blade MT Propeller On Beech Duchess 76

Company Says Prop Offers Multiple Gains In Performance

The FAA has issued an STC to MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH for installation of the next generation 3-blade scimitar composite propeller on Beech Duchess 76 airplanes powered by Lycoming IO-360 and other TC/STC approved piston engines which do not exceed the propeller TCDS.

The installation is already certified by EASA STC#10048838.

According to the company the propeller installation provides best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations. It has a bonded-on-stainless steel leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades, and provides a 22 pound weight reduction per propeller compared with the original propellers.

The company says the new prop increases cruise performance by 2-3 knots; has unlimited blade life and FOD-repairable blades; provides significant inside and outside noise reduction; and improves take-off and climb performance.

MT-Propeller is holder of over 200 STCs worldwide and OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European Aircraft Industry as well as 30% of the US Aircraft Industry with more than 16.000 propeller systems flying.
In July 2013, the 50000th blade was shipped. 110 Million fleet hours have already been accumulated on MT-Propellers.
